Tips for Household Gas

  • Simple test to check how much gas you have:  pour warm water down the side of the cylinder, where a condensation line forms is the level of gas remaining in your cylinder.
  • Rule of thumb consumption:  1 bottle will last approximately 10-12 weeks depending on household usage:  example bathing habits, and the extent of usage of work.
  • There must be a slab/pavers laid down, minimum thickness 50mm for the bottles to stand on and a restraining device fitted to enable the bottles to be safely secured.
  • The bottles should be located in a position that is easily and safely accessible for our delivery driver.
  • Through our association with ELGAS, we can also source competitively priced gas hot water systems, cook tops, ovens and heaters from manufacturers such as Rinnai, Bosch, Rheem, Dux, Chef, Euromaid, La Germania.

Compliance certificate

If you are a new home builder, or wishing to change from another existing gas supplier, we will require a copy of your gas compliance certificate.

The compliance certificate, which is mandatory requirement under the Queensland Gas Act, certifies that your gas reticulation system has been installed in accordance with the relevant standards and is fit for use.
